USDT in. Shillings out. No fees either way.
One signed API for moving value between USDT and Kenyan shillings, at one published rate with nothing added on top of it.
- No integration fee
- No transaction fee
- No monthly fee
- No minimum volume
Built for businesses paying suppliers in Kenya, marketplaces collecting locally, exchanges, remittance operators and treasury teams.
What it costs
There is no fee. There is only the rate.
Most providers charge you to connect, then again on every transaction, then again at the end of the month. That is a large part of why so much of this corridor still runs through a desk. We charge none of it: our margin sits inside the rate we quote, so the number you are shown is the number you get.
0
Integration fee
Nothing to start building, and nothing to hold a credential.
0
Per transaction
No flat fee, and no percentage taken on top of the rate.
0
Monthly platform fee
A quiet month costs you nothing at all.
0
Minimum volume
Start with one order and grow from there.
Speed
Stop waiting on a desk.
A conversion used to mean a chat thread, a rate agreed by message, and a payment instruction retyped from that thread into a banking portal. This is one call. Ask for a price, open an order, and get on with your day.
A price in one call
Ask for a rate and it comes back locked, with the moment it expires. No messages, and no waiting for somebody to be at their desk.
You know the wait before you commit
Every quote comes back with the settlement window for that amount and that rail. You see it before you spend the quote, not afterwards.
Your reference travels with the money
Put your own invoice number or customer id on the order. It comes back on every read and on the settlement notice, so nothing needs matching up at the end of the month.
You are told when it is done
A signed webhook tells you when an order reaches a terminal state, retried until you take it, carrying an id you can dedupe on. Nobody has to sit and check.
Both directions, one counterparty.
Whether you are paying people in Kenya or collecting from them, it is the same relationship, the same rate and the same reconciliation.
USDT → KES
Pay out in Kenya
Hold USDT and pay out shillings to a Kenyan bank account you have registered with us. Send the USDT, attach the transaction hash, and the shilling leg follows.
Exchanges · remittance operators · on-chain treasuries
KES → USDT
Collect in Kenya
Take shillings from your payers over M-PESA paybill, PesaLink, RTGS or EFT against an account reference we issue, so one payment resolves to exactly one order, and hold the proceeds in USDT.
Marketplaces · platforms collecting locally · treasury teams
Control
Decide where value can go
Shilling payout destinations are registered with us and read-only over the API. A credential can list them and pick one, and cannot add a new place for money to go.
Anyone whose security review asks the obvious question
What your security review will ask
Every request is signed
A captured request is useless on any other route, and a replayed one is refused outright.
A credential does only what you granted it
Each credential carries an explicit list of what it may call. Anything outside that list is refused, and an empty list authorises nothing.
Pin a credential to your own addresses
Set an allowlist per credential, as bare addresses or CIDR ranges, and a signed request from anywhere else is refused.
A retry never doubles an order
You choose the reference on each order and a unique index enforces it, so a timeout you retry returns the original order.
The signing recipe, every endpoint, the error catalogue and the full settlement state machine are in the documentation. Read the documentation
Who this is for
- Businesses paying suppliers, staff or sellers in Kenya, and anyone moving USDT and shillings at volume.
- Teams who would rather have one counterparty for both directions, and a price they can quote to their own customers without guessing at it.
Who this is not for
- Individuals buying or selling for themselves. OnLink does not offer a retail stablecoin wallet or a self-serve trade in Kenya.
- Assets other than USDT on Tron, or currencies other than the Kenyan shilling.
Get started
Tell us what you are moving. We will reply with keys.
Two answers to start. You will hear back from a real person, with sandbox credentials, a base URL and a rate for the volume you named.
- Sandbox costs nothing. Build against it for as long as you need to.
- A person, not a queue. A named contact who can answer a technical question.
- Credentials go to a named integration. So tell us what you are building.

https://sandbox.onlink.africaThe licence question
We are applying and expect to be granted a licence. Kenyan law lets us keep operating while the application is decided.
The legal basis
The Virtual Asset Service Providers Regulations 2026 carry a transitional provision for businesses, like OnLink, that were already operating when the rules were published on 22 July 2026. Our licence application is in progress ahead of the 4 November 2026 deadline; no VASP authorisation has been granted to anyone in Kenya yet.
Questions we get asked
- What does it actually cost?
- Nothing to integrate, nothing per transaction, nothing per month, and no minimum volume. Our margin sits inside the rate we quote you, and that is the whole price.
- How do shillings reach Kenya, and how do I collect them?
- A shilling payout settles to a Kenyan bank account you register with us. Collections come in over M-PESA paybill, PesaLink, RTGS or EFT, against an account reference we issue.
- How do I find out an order has settled?
- A signed webhook tells you, retried until you take it. Settlement is asynchronous, so an order does not reach its terminal state in the response that creates it, and you can read the order if you ever miss a delivery.
- Is there a minimum volume?
- No. Start with a single order. Per-order and daily ceilings are set per partner and agreed with you before you move real money.
- Which asset and which chain?
- USDT on Tron, against the Kenyan shilling. Other assets and chains are not offered on the API today.
- How is the rate set?
- A fixed shilling spread either side of the USD/KES rate, published on this page and returned by the same rate engine the API quotes from.
- What do I get as evidence of a transaction?
- The order record itself. It carries the on-chain transaction hash you attached, the rate that was locked, both amounts and the reference you chose, and the settlement notice carries the same. There is no separate document to fetch.
- Can you pay out to M-PESA?
- Not today. A shilling payout settles to a Kenyan bank account you register with us, and M-PESA carries shillings in rather than out. If paying out to a phone number is what your product needs, say so in the form and we will tell you where that stands.
- Do you support euro, US dollars or cards?
- Not on the API today. USDT and the Kenyan shilling are the whole of what this page describes. If your build needs euro or dollar collection, or card issuing, tell us in the form and we will tell you where that stands.
- How do I get access?
- Ask through the form on this page. The reply carries the key id, the signing secret and the base URL.
